A wonderful example of how two clashing worlds, divided by a concrete wall (that’s becoming an open-air art gallery by the day) can meet somewhere in the middle and create a beautiful thing.
A bittersweet story with a touch of irony and pure comedy. Lives that meet in the middle of nowhere, in the dullest of the days and in a place that only has slight human resemblances (“No culture. No Israeli culture, not Arab… no culture at all”). Nevertheless, from their clashing, an incredible sweetness bursts off; human stories intertwine, the music begins.

In Italia il titolo del film è stato tradotto con ‘La Banda’. L’ho visto l’anno scorso (ovviamente al cinema Anteo di Milano), molto carino. …Ops avrei dovuto scrivere il commento in inglese? Sorry.

gio, consolati, almeno gli spettatori del Film Festival di Toronto ci fanno compagnia…
io ogni volta che rivedo la scena della discoteca e quella del tipo che suona il clarinetto scoppio a ridere.
a parte il “modesto” successo di pubblico al cinema Anteo di Milano, secondo me, la fotografia di questo film e’ tra le piu’ belle viste in un bel po’ di anni

ormai Gianleo ci mette la fotografia ovunque… io ho il film li lì… pronto per essere guardato. vedremo se l’entusiasmo dei 4 al mondo che l’hanno visto conterà una persona in più…
